The Word Dodge Lead
Choosing the Lead
When choosing the Lead, we advise the most suitable teacher or support staff will have the following:
- Basic android familiarity
- Basic cloud knowledge
- Dyslexia & SEND awareness
- 2 - 4 hours of protected time per week
(student numbers dependant)
Training up the Lead
The Word Dodge lead will get a comprehensive set of tools and training for easy integration and implementation of the program. They will receive:
- Student & Parent set up agreement documentation
- Purchase and set up guides for IT administrators
- Webinar Training: How to Word Dodge
- Word Dodge Lead Toolkit
- Workshop documents
- Motivation & Managing Resistance Training
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Resource Integration
- Ongoing Support
The platform provides and allows for:
- Access to the Custom Learning Platform
- Digital Marking
- Normal Way of Working (NWW)
- Integration into existing school cloud filing structure
- Weekly Audit & Remote Monitoring of Students Work.
The Custom Learning Platform is where the students access their online lessons and the Word Dodge Lead finds their toolkit.
How much time do we need to dedicate to this?
The Training Schedule
The students will go through three key stages in their Word Dodge journey:
Weekly Skill Sessions
1 hour a week skill session in a small group to master the digital tools.
Students will use this time to reinforce their existing skills and learn new ones.
Integration into Lessons
Once they have acquired the basic skills, they will begin using the tablet in a few targeted lessons to embed those skills in a real classroom environment.
Ongoing Support
Once your child is confident using the tablet in their lessons, there will still be ongoing support available to them if they encounter any problems or need further guidance.
To complete number one and two in the graphic will take approximately one term.
